Seder Together סדר פסח

A special evening joining the Second ״Seder Together" with Sdot Yoav and the JDS in our school twinning program. Watching Peoplehood in practice as the kids celebrate together with their own Hagada that they have worked on together.

Enjoy and join me in thanking the amazing teachers on both sides who make all this possible.

ערב מיוחד עם ילדי שדות יואב וילדי בית הספר היהודי של ליהיי ואלי החוגגים יחד את הסדר זו השנה השנייה. כך נראית עמיות בפועל- ילדים החוגגים יחד עם הגדה שכתבו ופרשו יחד.
תהנו מהתמונות ותצטרפו אלינו בהוקרה לצוות המורים המדהים משני צידי האוקיינוס שהופכים את כל זה לאפשרי.

JCC - Yoav

We were delghtted to have Mike Smith visit us at the end of his Birthright trip to Israel. Mike stayed with us for a couple of days and he got to visit the kids in our different programs, teach and play with them and tell them about life in Lehigh Valley and especially the JCC camp!
Mike also had the oportunity to meet with some of the teachers who lead partnership programs, visit Preschools at Beit Nir and talk shop with Kfar Menachem Summer Camp Director, Reut.

נהננו לארח את מייק סמית, אחראי על תכנית הקייטנה בליהיי ואלי לכמה ימים ביואב. מייק ביקר בבי"ס שדות יואב ושוחח עם הילדים המשתתפים בתכניות השותפות. הוא ביקר גם בגני הילדים בבית ניר וכמורה לגיל הרך, התעניין ושמח לראות איך עובדת מערכת חינוך קיבוצית.

טקס רבין - Rabin's memorial day in Sdot yoav school

היום ציינו 20 שנה לזיכרו של יצחק רבין ז"ל, ראש ממשלת ישראל, שנרצח ב-4 בנובמבר 1995 בכיכר מלכי ישראל בתל-אביב, בעצרת למען השלום.
תלמידי שכבת ו' היו אחראים על הכנת הטקס, בו הוצג המסר: "כן לשלום - לא לאלימות".

Today we dedicated the day in memory of Yitzhak Rabin, the Israeli prime minister, who was murdered on November 4, 1995 in Tel Aviv,during a rally for peace. 

Sixth graders were responsible for preparing the ceremony, which was presented the message: "Yes to Peace - No to violence ".
